Thermostats

Sanctuary

The thermostats in the Sanctuary are Venstar T7800 models. They are or should be all connected to the SABTS-Unified, and all are connected to Home Assistant for remote control.

The three units for the main sanctuary, found in the sachristy all have remote temperature sensors, with the East and West thermostats having their's located near the two doors in the rear of the sanctuary, while the stage thermostat has it's remote sensor opposite the choir pews on the wall.

The other three are located in the choir room, and downstairs in the children's center, one per side.

They are all labeled in the unifi network, but occasionally show up as various flip phones and TV remotes.

All of the Venstar thermostats are connected into Home Assistant, running on the OVERSEER server, and the 3 main sanctuary thermostats are automated via Home Assistant to spin up at 8:30 AM on Sunday mornings, set to the appropriate mode, then spin down at 11:30 AM once the church service is finished.

Fellowship Hall

The thermostat in the front office is a Wyze smart thermostat. Unlike the Venstar thermostats, it does not connect to Home Assistant, but is controllable via the Wyze app (currently connected to Alton's phone).
The app is completely unnecessary for normal operation and was really only required for setup.

info

If the thermostat is ever reset, in it's advanced settings (in the app) A/C and heating need to be reversed, as in it's standard mode, it blows hot air when cooling and vice versa.
The thermostat also needs to be configured to control a heat pump as opposed to a conventional HVAC system, as the front office HVAC unit is a heat pump. (In the Wyze app, click yes when it asks if there are two labels, then yes again to say that it's a heat pump.)
